learnings and tech in the modern world

Every post these days starts with the advent of AI. There are no sections in tech that dont talk about it. Some of it is real progress and some, i think is just like the gold rush and every one want a piece.

AI will be entrenced in everyday life in a big way for kids in the future. We can only limit their access to an extent before which we will have to move to parts unknown and live in a cave to avoid all the progress that will be made in this field.

The advent of virtual friends for kids is something i find especially alarming. It is a predatory practice and needs to be removed for children. They do not need to be experimented at the altar of an unreliable and extremely deceptive behavior.

Inspite of all of this, critical thinking remains an important aspect that children should learn. Getting them involved with dash robots, lego, scratch programming at an early age will ensure they are computer literate and able to handle all the technology advancement of the future. A lot of hands on projects and real world problems are also a great way to foster their creativity, emotional balance and empathy.

Having read multiple forums and inspite of the advent of MCP for AI programming and all the tools like cursor, github copilot, it is still important to know that AI can't code complex logic right away and any amount of instructions can be misinterpreted in code.

Coding will definitely empower children to become innovators and industry leaders and I can't wait to see the movers and shakers of tomorrow.
